RIP SINGER RIHANNA FOUND DEAD Facebook message

Amongst the dozens of share-to-watch Facebook spam links that are circulating is another video claiming to show details of the death of US singer Rihanna who, according to messages on Facebook, was found dead in 2014 after being raped.

Of course the videos and links spreading on Facebook are completely nonsense, but this hasn’t stopped a worryingly large number of Facebook users sharing the story on their newsfeeds as they try and find out more information on the false story.

As typical with these scams links appear on Facebook that lead to a website that claims to show a video. Upon clicking Play the visitor is told they must first share the video onto their Facebook newsfeed, thus sharing it with their friends.

And in this instance the user is then redirected to a page asking them to complete surveys, in what are known as Facebook survey scams. Similar scams however, can try and install malware.

Rihanna is alive and well. Facebook users shouldn’t rely on spammy Facebook links for this type of information.
