Actor Kirk Douglas dead 4 days before 101st Birthday? Fake News
Rumours are circulating that claim legendary actor Kirk Douglas has died 4 days before his 101st birthday.
Most of these rumours are linking back to an article on ActionNews3.com that claims the actor died of “natural causes”, as confirmed by the LA coroners office.
An excerpt of the article can be read here –
News reports have confirmed that actor Kirk Douglas died of natural causes late this afternoon, Los Angeles coroners office reported. This was just 4 days before he would have turned 101 years old.
Family released a statement saying he “went comfortably and was in no pain” and “lived a long and prosperous life that people only dream of.”
Kirk Douglas was an American actor, producer, director, and author. He was one of the last living people of the film industry’s Golden Age. After an impoverished childhood with immigrant parents and six sisters, he had his film debut in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946) with Barbara Stanwyck. Douglas soon developed into a leading box-office star throughout the 1950s and 1960s, known for serious dramas, including westerns and war movies. During his career he appeared in more than 90 movies. Douglas was well known for his explosive acting style.
However, the article is completely false, and Kirk Douglas is still very much alive. The rumour appears to have originally started after the website ActionNews3.com published their article – however this is a known fake news website that has been responsible for a number of fake stories in the past including the claim that a clown was arrested for the massacre of 18 people and the site was also responsible for one of the many Morgan Freeman death rumours.
The site is one of a network of other fake sites also containing the word “news” including the popular Now8News.com website.

Kirk Douglas’s 101st birthday is on December 9th, meaning 4 days before that would be December 5th, so if the story were true, it would now already have been covered extensively by mainstream media, which it hasn’t.
