FALSE

The rumour claims that the brother had contracted Sypilis during a recent trip to Thailand and had inadvertently infected his sister as a result of the prank. The rumours link to an article on WorldNewsDailyReport.com that reads in part –

Of course, as many may have suspected, the vulgar article is actually completely fake. The story comes courtesy of a popular fake news website, WorldNewsDailyReport.com, a site that deals exclusively in making up stories and presenting them as news items.

In reality the photo of the woman used in the article is actually Katherine Gaydos, a Florida resident who mistakenly used glue instead of eye drops when clearing debris from her eye, resulting in her eyelids becoming stuck. The image of Katherine has simply been stolen from a legitimate news website and used in this spoof news article.

Similarly, the image supposedly depicting the brother in the spoof news article is actually David Thorpe, a filmmaker.
