Beware of survey sites like DollarTent.com
Readers should be wary of a spate of websites that claim you can make money from home by posting links across the Internet.
One such site – DollarTent.com – claims to pay participants between 5-10 dollars for each visitor they can send to their website.
The claim that you can make money “posting links” across the Internet has long been a persistent claim when it comes to work-from-home scams. In the case of this site, visitors are told to post their unique “referral link” across the Internet.
Sites like dollartent.com are basically cunning scam websites that exploit the otherwise legitimate rewards-per-action business model used by websites like Swagbucks that allow you to earn money completing certain tasks on the Internet (more on that below.)
However, upon registration, users are told that there is only 1 task that they can complete, by posting links across the Internet. However this essentially equates to spamming, and most referral links these users post will ultimately wind up being removed.

If users do manage to get others to visit their link, there is almost certainly never going to be a payout. The people behind these websites operate a high number of almost identical websites that purport the same thing. We have previously discussed such websites here.
The thing to know about these sites is this – you simply cannot make money by spamming the Internet. The Internet has become well aware of these types of schemes and posting referral links everywhere is simply never going to make you any money.
These sites exist as a way to harvest email addresses and names that are inevitably passed on to third party marketing companies resulting in the recipient receiving spam.
Do not sign up for these websites. If you’re interested in making money from home, read our article here.
