Internet rumours are spreading across social media that Microsoft founder Bill Gates has offered rapper Young Thug $9 million to stop making music.
The rumours link back to a report published on Huzlers.com that asserts Gates offered the rapper the cash reward because his music makes him depressed. A quite in the article states –
Despite many peoples aversion to Young Thug’s unique style of music, the report appears to be completely fabricated, since it cites no real sources and comes from popular fake news website Huzlers.com – a site that continually publishes fake news under the guise of satire.
Huzlers have been responsible for a number of hoaxes, including a hoax that NASA have confirmed 6 days of darkness. Nothing on the site should be considered genuine. Huzlers is known as a fauxtire website.
Remember to verify the information you spread across the Internet. There are a growing number of fake news fauxtire websites aimed at fooling users with nonsense to acquire Internet traffic.
