Criminals promoting “Hawking Code”, a get-rich-quick scam

Internet crooks have been using the identity of physicist Stephen Hawking to promote a get-rich-quick scam peddling a binary options platform.

Called “The Hawking Code”, the scheme purports that world renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking has created a “system” that would allow anyone to become rich by taking money from the top 1% of the wealthiest people on the planet.

However, the scheme is complete nonsense. It has clearly been operated by the same group of scammers who used Bill Gates’ identity to promote the same type of scam. Just like with that scam, the criminals have used some sort of impersonator to try and make the scam appear more convincing, though in the process just added to its absurdity. A video of a sales pitch used in the video can be seen below. It’s ridiculous.

What is the Hawking Code promoting?

The scammers behind The Hawking Code are attempting to lure visitors into signing up with a Binary Options broker by dressing it up as a “system” that will make those who use it very rich.

Of course, this is simply nonsense. Binary Options is a form of short-term investment, and those who sign up are more likely to lose money than make money, especially those with little investment experience. There are no systems that can “beat” Binary Options investing, and the chances of making any significant money from it are extremely small.

Binary Options relies on the investor making a decision whether a particular stock with rise or fall in a short period of time. However given the volatile fluctuations of stock, many stock brokers claim that Binary Options essentially amounts to gambling.

Additionally, regulation over Binary Options is extremely poor, and many brokers are completely unregulated. This means the odds can be intentionally stacked against an investor, or the broker could make it impossible to win. Our full article on Binary Options scams can be seen here.

This by itself is enough to make Binary Options something to avoid. The fact that criminals are trying to dress up Binary Options as a get-rich-quick opportunity and are deliberately trying to make it appear to belong to a well-known person should be indicative enough that this is a scam that should be avoided.

At the time of writing the scam operates from the domain stephenauto.trade or Stephen.trade
