Did man really slaughter 23 pizza delivery men and 2 postmen? Fact Check
A news article claiming a “cannibal killer” slaughtered and ate 23 pizza delivery men, 6 Jehovah Witnesses and 2 postmen over a 7 year period is spreading virally on social media.
FALSE
In the story, originally published by WorldNewsDailyReport.com, the man is identified as Ivan Fedorovitch. The story reads in part –
CANNIBAL KILLER SLAUGHTERED AND ATE 23 PIZZA DELIVERY MEN, 6 JEHOVAH WITNESSES, 2 POSTMEN IN PAST 7 YEARS
Houston police have arrested a man believed to be behind the disappearance of no less than 31 persons this past decade.
Ivan Fedorovitch Yanukovych, 56, could be linked to a number of mysterious disappearances in the area believe officials.
Yanukovych was interrogated by police after neighbors complained about him using a chainsaw late at night and reported the man being “covered in blood.”
When police arrived on the scene, Yanukovych was found butchering a dead body in his garage and preparing what police officers described as “large quantities of ground meat” mixed in with an “aromatic blend of spices.”
However the story is fake, and yet another success for the popular spoof news website WorldNewsDailyReport.com. This particular spoof news site makes its name by creating fictitious and almost-unbelievable crimes, which it invariably pairs with a random mugshot found on the Internet.
WorldNewsDailyReport.com is extremely successful, namely down to the sites ability of creating crazy sounding crimes that just about lie of the cusp of believability. The site has been active for a number of years and had enjoyed viral success numerous times with similar sounding headlines.

However more sceptical and eagle eyed readers of the website will note the tagline “where facts don’t matter” and see the disclaimer on the site at the bottom of each article that reads –
World News Daily Report assumes all responsibility for the satirical nature of its articles and for the fictional nature of their content. All characters appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any person, living, dead or undead, is purely a miracle.
As such, the entire story is nonsense.
