The image does not show a genuine photo of a police officer. In fact, it is not a photograph at all, rather computer generated artwork by a digital animator.
The image was first posted online in August 2016 by artist Mike Andrew Nash and was created mostly using a software tool called ZBrush. The same image and several others – all computer generated – can be seen here. Nash posted the following details with the images –
