Do Trojan make renewed, pre-owned condoms? Fact Check

An image spreading online appears to show a pack of Trojan condoms that are advertised as “pre-owned”.

FALSE

The packaging features slogans such as “just like new” and “re-lubricated.”

However the image isn’t real. It’s a “photoshop” job, and Trojan has no such product on the market. While many shared the image as a joke, given the number of questions the Trojan Brand Condoms Twitter team have had to field about the image, it appears more than just a few people found the image plausible enough to perhaps be a genuine product.

But rest assured, it is not. The Trojan Brand Condoms team have stated that the image shows “pretty decent Photoshop skills” but it not a genuine product.

In fact more eagle-eyed viewers would have noticed the signature of the digital artist, Adam the Creator, a.k.a. Adam Padilla, who first posted his digital creation on Twitter during Valentine’s Day under the caption “Something special for tonight”.

Something special indeed. This isn’t the first time we’ve had to debunk an Adam the Creator creation, either. In August 2019 we looked at another fake product image he was responsible for – Monster Energy Ham. That too was fake.

There is no such thing as renewed Trojan condoms. The image is fake.
