Does video show aerial footage of drone attack on Qasem Soleimani? Fact Check

A video online purports to show aerial footage of a drone attack in Iraq that killed General Qasem Soleimani.

FALSE

In the footage, several vehicles are seen to be destroyed by missile fire followed by a number of volleys of gunfire from a drone aimed at people running away on foot.

The video does not show the missile attack on Qasem Soleimani. At the time of writing, neither Iran, Iraq nor the United States has revealed any footage of the attack.

The footage actually shows a video game from development studio Byte Conveyor Studios, who uploaded the exact same footage back in 2015 under the title AC-130 Gunship Simulator. This video has a superior resolution to the circulating hoax footage that clearly reveals it is a video game and does not show a real life attack.

Additionally, there are currently no reports that gunfire was used in the Soleimani attack as shown in the footage.

The footage is from a video game, and does not show footage related to Qasem Soleimani.
