Does video show aerial footage of people protesting Trump UK state visit? Fact Check
A video is spreading through social media that claims to show large protests in London during President Trump’s official state visit in June 2019.

One particular instance of the video on Twitter was tweeted on June 4th 2019 and has been viewed over 2 million times.

However, while the video does indeed show a protest against President Trump, it isn’t from 2019. The footage is almost a year old and depicts anti-Trump protesters on the streets of London during Trump’s first visit to the UK as US President which happened in July 2018.
During that visit, thousands of anti-Trump protesters marched through central London, and it was those marches that were seen in the above video. The BBC originally uploaded the video online on July 13th 2018.
Trump’s June 2019 state visit did also result in a number of protests, with estimates in the several thousands. However early estimates indicate that at the time of writing the number count for the July 2019 protests is smaller than the numbers from the July 2018 protests.
