Does video show Prince George reciting alphabet in biblical verses? Fact Check

A viral video is circulating social media that claims to show Prince George, third in line to the British throne, reciting the alphabet in Biblical verses.

The video is circulating under the caption Prince George, Prince Willam’s son. The grandson of Princess Diana. How they teach Alphabet.. The video is embedded below.

Despite claims on social media, this absolutely isn’t Prince George. For one, the boy in the video is clearly speaking with an American accent, as is the person behind the camera. Secondly, the boy in the video is well known. The boy is actually called Tanner Hemness, and his father behind the camera is Taylor Hemness, a TV news anchor for the KLTV station at the time.

The video was originally uploaded in October 2017 and has appeared in many places on Facebook and YouTube and was viewed by millions. So popular was the video that Tanner and Taylor actually appeared on the Steve Harvey talk show.

While Tanner does bear a passing resemblance to Prince William’s son George, they are hardly doppelgangers. For one, Prince George has blonde hair, while Tanner’s is clearly brown.

Bottom line – it isn’t Prince George.
