Get a $100 Target Coupon Facebook links

Links are spreading across Facebook claiming that you can grab a $100 Target coupon, just by visiting a website.

After seeing and clicking the link on Facebook however, the user is first told they must first share the webpage on their timeline first.

Red flag number 1.

Then they’re told they must make a comment using Facebook’s on-page comment plug-in, which – depending on yours settings – is also broadcast on your Facebook timeline.

Red flag number 2.

After jumping through these hoops you’re them forwarded to a survey scam page that asks you to fill out various questionnaires and rewards surveys to continue.

Red flag number 3.

We hope that the majority of users out there won’t need 3 red flags to come to the conclusion that they’re getting scammed. In fact it could be argued that merely seeing a link on Facebook offering a free $100 Target coupon is by itself the first red flag.

Users who fall hook line and sinker will have to complete various spammy “rewards programs” which harvest their data and result in them being the target (no pun intended) for a number of spam campaigns before realising that there really isn’t any Target coupon at the end of the trail.

Webpages that first ask you to share before proceeding are certain to be scams. Webpages that ask you to complete surveys and questionnaires before proceedings are also certain to be scams. Put the two together and what do you have? A certain scam.
