Is In-N-Out promoting phrase “Let’s Go Brandon”? Fact Check
Images circulating through social media appear to show the In-N-Out burger brand promoting the “Let’s Go Brandon” phrase by printing it underneath the cups as well as introducing a new “Let’s Go Brandon” burger.
Both claims are false, and rely on digitally altered images.
Let’s Go Brandon is a political slogan used by opponents of President Joe Biden.
Let’s Go Brandon printed underneath cups?
The image below is spreading on social media that appears to show the slogan written underneath cups from In-N-Out.
However the image has been ‘photoshopped’ using an image of a cup that is often used by online pranksters to fuel various hoaxes by digitally adding various offensive slogans. The same image was previously used to ‘photoshop’ the “Hail Satan” phrase. The real image is below, and you can see that the actual words on the cup are “John 3:16”. In-N-Out is widely known for printing bible verses on their packaging.
In-N-Out have a Let’s Go Brandon burger for $17.76?
Another image (below) appears to show a store menu featuring a new “Let’s Go Brandon” burger available for $17.76 (1776 being the date of the US Declaration of Independence)
However this image is courtesy of a website called Babylon Bee, a satirical website that’s content is often mistaken for genuine. Again this is a digitally altered image, and the original image is below.
As such, we rank the claims that In-N-Out is promoting the political slogan “Let’s Go Brandon” by printing it on their cups or naming burgers after it as false.
