Is the CDC putting RFID chips into Ebola vaccines?

Rumours are circulating across the Internet the claim the CDC (Center for Disease Control) are implanting RFID into people by hiding them in Ebola vaccines.

The story, published on serial nonsense-starter National Report.net on October 17th, claims that CDC contractor Brent Hopskins revealed all to them in an interview where he was quoted as saying…

“I cannot sit idly by as these atrocities unfold… The American government wants to implant RFID chips in every man, woman and child. They are now using the threat of Ebola to push this nefarious plot. The public is forced to make a decision between the horrible demise that Ebola offers, or relinquish every ounce of their privacy by getting an RFID chip implanted under their skin.”

However the rumour is entirely false, just a mish-mash of existing conspiracy theories that have been spreading for years without ever coming true. The theory that the US government is attempting to implant RFID tracking chips into its citizens is a long running conspiracy theory that have been rejuvenated thanks to social media, with various version spreading over the last few years.

At the time of writing there are no Ebola vaccines, only experimental treatments that have not been cleared for general use. The notion that the government are surreptitiously implanting people with RFID chips in Ebola vaccines is plain illogical, baseless and paranoid nonsense usually spread by conspiracy loons.

However in this case ‘fauxtire’ website National Report.net, which has released several fake articles exploiting the Ebola outbreak, are to thank for this latest nonsense.

As usual, only get your news from legitimate media outlets that you trust and not on desperate-to-go-viral fake news sites that pretend to be posting satire when in reality they’re just posting utter rubbish.
