Loch Ness Monster carcass found on beach?

A series of photos purportedly showing the remains of the mythical Loch Ness Monster are spreading across social media.

The photographs (below) shows the skeletal remains behind a police tape lying on a beach. They were uploaded were uploaded by Facebook page HelpRehomeScotland who claimed the carcass was discovered by a local dog walker in Loch Ness.

The images were soon picked up by many blogs and tabloid papers including the Mirror and Metro. However many were immediately sceptical, questioning why the internal organs remained intact while the flesh had clearly rotten away.

It wasn’t long before the Facebook page that uploaded the photo admitted via the Facebook comments section that they were indeed just a hoax, and was a scene from an upcoming TV show – what show the photo is from however remains unknown.

It’s for a TV show, good lay out! 😊 Shame some people had to be very nasty about it on this post though

He he!! We can’t wait to see the documentary now! Hopefully the producers will pick the food they used back up and make Nessy a breakie for tomorrow! 😜

Regardless, the photos do not show Nessie and thus should not be circulated as such.
