The Office US confirmed returning in 2018? Fact Check
Rumours that US comedy The Office is to return in 2018 are spreading online.
The rumours are linking back to an article on the website pagez.com with the headline – “CONFIRMED: The Office US is returning in 2018!”
The rumours appear to be fake. There has been no mention of any 2018 reunion for The Office cast, and the website pagez.com is a site that allows its users to create their own content, meaning the articles cannot always be trusted. This rumour appears to be a rehash of an earlier April Fools prank that Medium.com played earlier in 2017 – the pagez.com article is just a rehashed version of the Medium.com prank that appeared last April.
Given that neither NBC nor any of the stars have actually confirmed that the series will be rebooted, there appears to be no such validity to the rumours. As such, this appears to be another example of fake news.
