Popular YouTube prankster given 9 months jail for bomb hoax

YouTube pranksters be warned – if you take it too far, then you’re very likely to get yourself thrown in jail.

Only weeks after the notorious Jalal Brothers were arrested after their series of bomb pranks in Australia, one of the co-founders of pranking group TrollStation – Danh Van Le, known as DigiDan, has been sentenced to prison for 9 months after a prank that involved panicking members of the public in London with a ticking suitcase.

The prank – that was filmed in September 2015 – involved Van Le filming another member of the prank group (who was then only 15 years old) approaching members of the public with a ticking suitcase, dropping it and running away.

The prank was clearly designed to induce panic upon its targets, and ultimately one person ended up calling the police who later arrested Van Le.
