Claims that typing the term “@Stalker” in the comments section of any Facebook post will show the name of your Facebook stalker are spreading across the social network.
The claims come attached with a screenshot of several comments, some of which have apparently worked, as the names of certain Facebook users have appeared, replacing the @Stalker text.
See the image below.
Comment “@stalker” and if someone is stalking your page their facebook will show up
The rumours are nonsense. The screenshot has been faked. There are no methods that can tell you who visits your Facebook profile the most frequently, despite many people claiming that they can show you this information. Typing in @Stalker into the comments section does absolutely nothing.

In fact the rumour comes soon after a very similar rumour went viral across Facebook that claimed users who see if their Facebook account had been hacked by commenting #177 and seeing if a green bar appeared. This was also just a hoax – or more of a prank – to fool uninformed Facebook users. In both cases it makes absolutely on sense whatsoever for Facebook to implement these silly little secret features about potentially serious subjects.
There are no secret symbols or codes you that you can type to see if your account has any stalkers. Be sceptical of these kinds of claims as it is likely that other similarly worded hoaxes will be spreading about in the near future trying to fool users into believing it.
