What appears to be a glitch on Facebook is resulting in many users of the social media website seeing a message below every item on their newsfeed asking if the post contained hate speech.
A number of Facebook users reporting seeing the message “does this post contain hate speech?” below every single item on their newsfeed, even messages posted by Zuckerberg himself!
But if you’re worried that this is a permanent feature to your newsfeed, you needn’t be, since it’s almost certainly a glitch. Facebook is constantly looking to introduce new features to its platform including initiatives to help combat hate speech and bullying on the platform.

It’s likely Facebook will currently be trying to improve their algorithms responsible for automatically detecting potential hate speech on their platform and allowing users to report it to Facebook. It’s likely that this testing went a little haywire, resulting in many users seeing the message.
To all but confirm it was in fact a glitch, users who clicked YES were taken to a series of test options, highlighting that developers at Facebook were testing and tweaking the feature.
Most users who experienced the glitch have now reported that the option is no longer showing on all their posts.
