A viral rumour online is claiming that all child support in the United States will end by the beginning of 2018.
The rumour was started by a small article on the website React365.com, where most of the links appear to be leading to. That article claims President Trump and Congress voted on a bill to completely rid child support in the United States. That article reads –
President Donald Trump and U.S. Congress voted yesterday on a bill that could change the world. Child support claims have said to come to an end and many officials are not happy about it. President Trump claims he will no longer for any party of parent to pay child support. Trump also says that ant reports of abuse or negligence to a child from either party will result in the child automatically being turned over to the State Child Welfare. Lawmakers are meeting Wednesday to finalize all changes before the effect will take place.
If the grammar of the article alone wasn’t enough to have the fake news alarm bells ringing, then rest assured that this story is completely untrue. There have been no reports of such an announcement [from anyone] which – given its significance – should be enough to take this rumour with more than just a pinch of salt. Such a high profile story would inevitably garner much mainstream media attention.

But perhaps most tellingly is the fact that React365.com – the site that first published the article – is actually a prank site that invites users to create their own fabricated stories and share them to their unwitting friends. (The article was also published on fake news site TMZBreaking.com)
ThatsFake.com has had React365.com labelled as a prank news site for some time now as it has been responsible for kick-starting a number of nonsense rumours.
The story is fake and should not be circulated as genuine.
